• Classic tea herb: apple-scented little daisies prized for caffeine-free herbal infusions.
• Heavy bloomer: prolific white flowers with sunny yellow centers from early/midsummer onward.
• Beginner friendly: tiny seed is easy—surface sow, keep evenly moist, and give bright light.
• Compact & productive: typically 15–24" tall—great for borders, raised beds, and containers.
• Pollinator favorite: attracts bees and other beneficial insects in veggie and herb gardens.
• Self-seeding charm: if you let a few flowers go to seed, it often returns on its own next season.

• When to sow: start indoors 4–6 weeks before last frost, or direct sow as soon as soil can be worked. For many regions, late-fall sowing after a hard frost can also work for a natural cold cycle.
• Prep your mix: pre-moisten seed-starting media, fill containers, then brush off extra media so the surface stays airy and clean.
• Sow: surface sow and press in gently—do not bury (light helps germination). Mist to settle.
• Germination: typically 10–14 days. Keep the surface evenly moist but never soggy.
• Sun & soil: full sun is best; tolerates light shade. Prefers well-drained soil (sandy/loamy is excellent).
• Spacing: thin or transplant to about 8" apart for good airflow and lots of blooms.
• Harvest: pick flower heads when fully open on a dry morning. Dry in shade with good airflow, then store airtight.

Many gardeners like to plant fragrant chamomile near seating areas and paths, and some report it helps discourage nuisance bugs in the immediate area. Results vary with airflow, plant density, and insect pressure.
